Overview
The Drager Fabius Tiro fits a full anesthesia workstation into a compact design for rooms where space is at a premium, such as smaller operating rooms and induction rooms. It keeps the standardized Drager user interface and a high-contrast display, so teams get familiar operation without crowding the patient.
At its core is the E-vent piston ventilator: electrically driven, no drive gas required, and able to handle a wide range of acuity levels. The compact breathing system provides fresh gas decoupling, PEEP, and pressure limitation. The Tiro runs on O2, N2O, and air from a pipeline or externally mounted cylinders and is CLIC absorber compatible.
This Fabius Tiro is professionally refurbished, inspected, and tested for surgery centers and outpatient facilities that need a small, capable workstation.
Key Features
Compact, space-saving design
A small footprint and highly maneuverable cart for tight ORs, induction rooms, and procedure spaces.
E-vent piston ventilation
Electrically driven and electronically controlled with no drive gas. Volume control, manual, and spontaneous modes come standard.
Optional advanced modes
Pressure control, pressure support, and SIMV/PS are available as options, with compliance compensation and backup ventilation for PS modes.
Fresh gas decoupling
Keeps delivered tidal volumes constant as fresh gas flow changes.
Built-in safety functions
S-ORC maintains at least 23% O2 in O2/N2O mixtures. Manual ventilation, gas delivery, and agent delivery remain possible if mains and battery power fail.
Familiar Drager interface
Standardized Drager controls and a high-contrast display, with fresh gas flows shown as virtual flow tubes.
Clinical Applications
The Fabius Tiro is designed for anesthesia care where floor space is limited.
- Smaller operating rooms
- Induction rooms
- Recovery rooms
- Space-constrained procedure areas
- Pediatric patients (accurate piston ventilation)
- Low-flow anesthesia
